I recently visited your website about vaporizers and vaporizing http://www.vaporinfo.com and saw that you are seeking some information and a review regarding the Vapir One 3.0 vaporizer.
I recently purchased this vaporizer unit back in May this year.
For the most part, it is actually well a constructed vaporizer but the rear portion which contains the electric motor that drives the fan seems a bit delicate. Other than that, I have no issues with the overall sturdiness of this vaporizing device. It is constructed of a highly heat resistant plastic like I have seen used in electrical equipment like wall outlets and the like. It uses a small, ejectable drawer that houses a removable and reusable steel mesh basket about the size of a US 10 cent coin approximately and it is about half an inch deep or so. This basket is used for the herb mixture, lavender, whatever you are vaporizing. Air-2, the folks that make the Vapir One, call the basket a "Herb Disk".
The vaporizer unit is digitally controlled in that it maintains it's set temperature without the need to keep an eye on things. It is both celsious and fahrenheit capable with a pushbutton to toggle between both measurement systems. I personally just leave it in fahrenheit mode. For medicinal herbs, 350 degrees fahrenheit is perfect. It uses a variable speed fan that runs in three speeds: slow, medium and fast. The fan speed control uses a three-way toggle switch. The unit heats up extremely fast; approximately 15-30 seconds to heat to 350 degrees fahrenheit with the fan running at medium speed.
The unit does not come shipped with the balloon inflation kit so I ordered this separately when I ordered the Vapir One Vaporizer. I highly recommend the balloon kit. It works fantastic and the effects with various herbs are great! I have no complaints in this area. Matter of fact, I get better results from using the Vapir One vaporizer with a balloon than using a pipe or a water pipe. It is also quite efficient as far as herb consumption. I can get approximately 6-8 full balloons of vapor from one full herb disk and it only takes two balloons to achieve the effect you need to feel real good. The balloons fill up at full fan speed in approximately 30 seconds or so. They are also reusable. They are made of a highly durable mylar-like plastic and they are flavored mint to cover up the initial new plastic taste when you first use them.
I do not recommend using it without the balloon kit! I found that the effect achieved was not nearly as good and it dried my throat out tremedously when trying to inhale directly off the unit through the tube and mouthpiece. It was also not nearly as efficient as I needed to consume much more herb (nearly a full herb disk) to achieve the same effect as when inhaling two full balloons.
There are some things that could use improvement but they are issues that are not really detrimental to it's overall effectiveness.
The plastic mouthpiece that is used to attach to the tube that connects to the unit is very fragile. It broke within about 10 uses of the device. (The mouthpiece comes packaged with the unit as well as the plastic tubing. The balloon kit also included 10 of these mouthpieces.)
The unit itself is very noisy. The tiny fan motor is very high pitched when running at full speed.
Overall, on a scale of 1-10, I give this vaporizer a 9. It is awesome but it needs some improvement in some areas. It should have come packaged with at least one balloon instead of the need to order a kit separately. It should not be used without the balloons, ever, in my opinion. The accessories that are found on Air-2.com are also a bit pricey for what you get. On the plus side, when used with the balloons, it rocks! It heats up very fast and it is really easy to use. Set your temp, set your fan speed and fire it up! Easy!
